The Role

As an HR Business Partner, you act as a trusted advisor to local managers and leadership. You play a pivotal role in translating and implementing HR strategies, policies, and processes that drive business performance. With a hands-on and approachable style, you maintain a strong presence on the floor, staying close to daily operations. This enables you to understand the local context, engage effectively with teams, and support a culture of development, collaboration, and success.

Your responsibilities include:

• Advising and coaching managers on HR matters including performance, absence, and development
• Accompany and support employees throughout their career path at Gate Gourmet, fostering growth and engagement
• Identifying HR trends and supporting continuous improvement of HR processes
• Supporting organizational change and cultural development initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with labor laws, company policies, and collective labor agreements
• Leading and participating in projects on topics like sustainable employability and employer branding
• Collaborating with the central HR team and other sites across the region
• Absence/ case management

What you bring:

• At least 5 years of experience as a HR Business Partner or in a similar role
• Experience in a production, logistics, hospitality or catering environment is essential
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in HRM, Business Administration, or related field
• Solid knowledge of Dutch labor law, Wet Verbetering Poortwachter and experience working with collective labor agreements
• Strong advisory and stakeholder management skills with a practical mindset
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on support
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written

• Central work location at Schiphol- Noord
• A salary based on your experience and skills
• 32-40 hours per week
• 8% vacation allowance
• STIP bonus (Max 10%)
• 25 vacation days + 5 management days
• Travel allowance based on € 0,21 per km.

Important Requirements:

• The possibility to apply for a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and a Certificate of No Objection (VGB) (mandatory requirement)
• Willingness to undergo screening by the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (for this, it is important that you have lived consecutive in the Netherlands for the past eight years)
• No criminal record
