Job Summary:

Apex Group is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner for Brazil. The role is expected to operate at a strategic and tactical leadership level, ensuring outcomes are delivered through appropriate teams, processes, and partnerships, rather than direct operational execution. The successful candidate will work independently, whilst contributing to a larger global HR team. The role requires a high level of autonomy, decision making, managing, and coaching abilities and strong experience in a similar role.

The Role & Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior business leaders on strategic HR topics, including organizational design, restructuring, and complex employee relations matters, providing clear, pragmatic guidance aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead the regional delivery of the people strategy, ensuring consistent execution of key employee lifecycle activities (e.g., compensation reviews, performance cycles) through effective coordination across HR teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on workforce and talent strategy, working in partnership with Talent Acquisition to shape hiring plans, and driving succession planning and talent development initiatives.
  • Lead and support change management initiatives, ensuring alignment between business transformation priorities and people outcomes.
  • Drive M&A-related people initiatives, ensuring smooth and structured integration aligned with business strategy and operating models.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of employment and regulatory requirements relevant to the fund administration and fiduciary business in Brazil, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and reporting obligations.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies and processes, ensuring alignment with local legislation and Group standards.
  • Provide high-quality advisory support to senior stakeholders on people and culture topics, enabling effective decision-making and execution.
  • Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, separations, redundancies, and legal cases, with sound judgment and risk awareness.
  • Work in close alignment with the Regional Head of HR to ensure consistency of approach, share best practices, and support broader regional priorities.
  • Collaborate with local and global HR teams to contribute to regional and global initiatives, ensuring effective localization and execution.
  • Lead, coach, and develop HR team members, ensuring clear delegation, capability building, and delivery through the team.
  • Drive delivery through structured workstreams, ensuring clear ownership, follow-through, and measurable outcomes without direct reliance on individual operational execution.
  • Support and lead ad hoc initiatives as required to meet evolving business needs.

Skills Required:

  • Strong ability to operate as a trusted advisor to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated experience influencing decisions on structure, talent, and performance
  • Ability to translate business priorities into a focused HR agenda
  • Proven ability to structure complex workstreams and drive delivery through clear ownership models
  • Strong capability in delegation, follow‑through, and ensuring execution through team and vendors, while managing end‑to‑end accountability
  • Strong judgment in defining and communicating ownership boundaries across HR, business, and support teams
  • Quick learner, capable of multi-tasking

Education and Experience:

  • Experience working closely with senior stakeholders, with the ability to influence and challenge when needed
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience
  • Locally relevant HR Professional Membership credentials would be a plus
  • Significant experience gained in a similar role and industry
  • Solid knowledge of employee relations processes and relevant employment legislation.

What you will get in return:

  • A genuinely unique opportunity to get wider HR exposure across the entire North America region
  • Exposure to numerous aspects of the business, cross-jurisdiction and working with senior management directly
