We're looking for a Senior HR Administration Specialist with deep expertise in compensation and payroll to build the strategic and operational backbone TYTAN’s compensation plan. You'll be the internal expert on compensation structure, payroll accuracy, and benefits strategy, running a flawless day-to-day payroll operations, you will also act as a key point of contact for employees, managers, HR, Finance, and external payroll providers, ensuring payroll and compensation data is accurate, processes are well controlled, and employee queries are resolved efficiently. This role is ideal for someone strong payroll expertise with excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and a service-oriented approach.

Your Roadmap to make an Impact

Compensation Strategy & Benchmarking

  • Build and maintain TYTAN's salary benchmarking framework, ensuring pay ranges are competitive, internally consistent, and grounded in real market data

  • Design a scalable compensation model and leveling approach that can support TYTAN's growth over the next several years, not just its current headcount

  • Continuously benchmark and compare benefits offerings against market standards, recommending adjustments to stay competitive as TYTAN scales

  • Partner with leadership on compensation decisions for new hires, promotions, and salary reviews, bringing data-backed recommendations rather than ad hoc judgment calls

Payroll Operations

  • Own end-to-end monthly payroll processing in coordination with external payroll providers/tax advisors, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery

  • Maintain and update employee master data relevant to payroll and compensation (contracts, salary changes, benefits, terminations, parental leave, etc.)

  • Ensure full payroll compliance with German labor law, tax regulations, and social security requirements

  • Own TYTAN's benefits offering end-to-end administration, employee communication, and ongoing evaluation against market benchmarks

  • Identify and recommend new or improved benefits as part of the broader compensation strategy

Tools, Process & Reporting

  • Evaluate, implement, and/or optimize HR/payroll systems to support compensation and payroll processes as TYTAN scales

  • Prepare reports and analytics on payroll costs, compensation trends, and benefits utilization for People Ops, Finance, and leadership

  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll and compensation

  • Build and document scalable compensation and payroll processes, since much of this infrastructure is still being established at TYTAN

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in HR administration, payroll, compensation, or a similar role.

  • Strong hands-on experience with end-to-end payroll processes.

  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems; Datev is a plus.

  • Good understanding of compensation principles and payroll-related legislation.

  • Strong Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.

  • Experience working with confidential and sensitive employee information.

  • Experience coordinating with Finance, payroll providers, and other internal/external stakeholders.

  • Fluency in German and English is required
