Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Senior to Technical Director level Heritage Advisor, to join our Western Australian Environment business group based in Perth, and make a valued contribution to our strong pipeline of projects.
You’ll support and deliver projects of varied scale and complexity, in Western Australia but also nationally, working with our wider heritage specialist located across Australia. Through our office presence in all States and Territories, major cities as well as satellite regional offices, this role offers a unique opportunity to work across jurisdictions and locations whilst being based in Western Australia.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Managing heritage advice and approvals processes for a diverse range of projects in Western Australia and nationally
- Working on projects across the property and buildings, transport, water, energy, resources, and environment market sectors
- Investigating and reporting on a wide range of heritage matters, including statutory approvals and consultation with Traditional Owners, through field and desktop work
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, internal specialists and sub-consultants, Commonwealth and State Government Departments, Agencies and Local Councils
- Supporting and contributing to the continued development of our team’s technical skills through mentorship
- Developing and supporting new business opportunities within the Cultural Heritage sector within Western Australia and nationally
What would you bring to the team?
- Between 5 -15 years of experience working under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972 and the heritage approval processes in Western Australia is required.
- Experience with the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 is preferred but not a requirement.
- A Bachelor’s degree, and Honours or post graduate qualifications in archaeology, cultural heritage management or related field.
- Experience in a consulting environment strongly preferred, with a natural ability to build positive client relationships and openness to identifying and developing new business.
- A current Western Australian driver’s licence
