As a Senior Cloud Migration Consultant, you will spearhead the transition of global insurance leaders to the Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP). In this role you’ll collaborate with Architects on sophisticated upgrade strategies. You'll play a vital part in protecting project timelines by mitigating risks and leveling up the skills of cross-functional teams through hands-on mentorship

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and migration of Guidewire Cloud integrations, providing guidance and mentorship to consultants on solution architecture and design.

  • Redesign legacy integrations to follow cloud-native patterns: REST/SOAP services, event messaging, plugins, and API orchestration

  • Own Cloud Assurance remediation for integration tracks, ensuring compliance with security, resilience, and data validation mandates

  • Define and implement API contracts, endpoint mappings, transformation logic, and message routing strategies

  • Work closely with Cloud Architects and DevOps to ensure testability, automation, and release readiness of all integration code

  • Support interface-level triage, performance tuning, and validation in non-prod and pre-prod environments

  • Author Swagger/OpenAPI documentation, integration specs, and Postman collections for QA and downstream consumers

Technical & Functional Consultant skills:

  • Guidewire Ecosystem: Core competency in PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter; deep understanding of the Guidewire Cloud Standards and ski releases

  • Language & Scripting: Hands-on Gosu and Java; proficient in XML, JSON, and GUnit testing.

  • Insurance Domain: Strong functional grasp of the Policy Lifecycle, Underwriting workflows, and FNOL 

  • Cloud & Integration: Hands-on experience with Cloud API, REST/SOAP web services, Messaging plugins

  • DevOps & Tools: Proficient in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git), Guidewire Hub, and code quality tools like SonarQube.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 8+ years of proven hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud implementation  (minimum 1 upgrade experience as a senior consultant/ lead developer)

  • Experience resolving Cloud Assurance issues and aligning with cloud deployment constraints

  • Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Teamcity, Datadog) and release automation practices

  • Cross-application experience with PolicyCenter and/or ClaimCenter

  • Strong experience designing and implementing cloud integrations in Guidewire Cloud environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

  • Certifications

    • Guidewire Cloud Configuration Associate Certification (Preferred in any of XCenters)

    • Guidewire Cloud Integration Associate Certification (required)

    • Additional Cloud certifications are a plus.
