We are seeking a skilled attorney for the role of Senior Group Legal Counsel. Strong candidates will bring strong commercial legal acumen and experience advising on technology transactions, preferably within telecommunications, networks, or cloud services.
The Senior Group Legal Counsel will partner with stakeholders across Ericsson's global organization and collaborate with Ericsson's network of subject matter experts and Group functions. The role provides strategic legal guidance supporting Ericsson's commercial strategy across areas including sales and go-to-market, customer contract structuring, technology licensing, strategic partnerships, AI-enabled product offerings, and new business models.
The team plays a central role in enabling Ericsson's growth strategy, supporting the business as it expands into new markets and customer segments, including enterprise, defence, and network API monetization, alongside its core CSP business.
This role is well suited to lawyers comfortable working at the intersection of legal, commercial strategy, global regulation, and technology.
What you will do• Provide strategic legal counsel to sales, commercial, and business stakeholders supporting Ericsson's commercialization and go-to-market strategy, models and initiatives.• Develop scalable legal frameworks, guidance, and playbooks supporting efficient technology and product engagement.• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements relating to technology development, partnerships, and commercialization.• Provide legal training and guidance to employees, including senior business and technology leaders.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams advising on legal issues related to technology development, product offerings, and commercial engagements.• Track and advise on legal and regulatory developments impacting the telecommunications and technology industries.• Engage with teams across the technology development lifecycle, identifying legal considerations early in product and platform initiatives.• Contribute to internal legal strategies, policies, and programs supporting Ericsson's technology and product initiatives.• Support initiatives related to responsible technology development, data use, and emerging technology governance.• Partner with colleagues across Legal Affairs & Compliance and other Group functions including privacy, security, competition, sourcing, and policy teams.• Manage external legal resources where appropriate.
What you will bring• Master of Law degree or equivalent qualification.• At least 5-8 years of experience as a technology lawyer, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house experience.• Experience advising on commercial models, technology, data, security, or emerging technology issues.• Experience with IT, telecommunications, software, or cloud-related legal matters, preferably in international environments.• Strong business and technology acumen.• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to drive positive change.• High proficiency in English.
