We are currently recruiting for a Graphic Designer to sit within the local market team, based in our Barcelona office. You will be reporting into the Graphic Designer Country Manager, working closely with internal departments, store teams, and external suppliers at a local level.
This is an opportunity for someone with extensive graphic design experience in a retail store environment, who has first‑hand, in‑store experience and who has created and understands how visual communication performs on the shop floor, to support UNIQLO Spain’s continued growth.
As Graphic Designer, you will work closely with the Graphic Design, Visual Merchandising and cross‑functional teams to deliver impactful, in‑store visual communication across all Spain stores. You will take full ownership of end‑to‑end design for store‑based campaigns and ad‑hoc in‑store projects, adapt global and European guidelines to local retail needs, support new store openings, and ensure high‑quality, consistent execution that enhances the in‑store customer experience and drives commercial impact.
What you will be responsible for:
- Lead end‑to‑end graphic design for in‑store visual communication across all Spain stores
- Partner closely with Visual Merchandising, Store Operations, Marketing/PR and EC on key retail campaigns
- Adapt and localise global and European VM guidelines to meet local, in‑store business needs
- Deliver high‑quality renders, print files, POS and in‑store display solutions
- Ensure consistent execution of visual standards across stores, including new store openings and refits
- Identify VM and in‑store marketing challenges and propose effective, commercial, store‑ready solutions
- Manage timelines, budgets and suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery for stores
- Act as a key point of contact for retail stores, anticipating in‑store needs and driving continuous improvement
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
- Native Catalan and Spanish, with working proficiency in English
- 4+ years’ professional graphic design experience, within retail, or store‑based environments
- Strong hands‑on experience producing design for physical retail spaces and in‑store execution
- Confident working cross‑functionally in fast‑paced, commercial retail environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including working closely with store and VM teams
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects)
- Experience with 3D design/modelling (e.g. SketchUp); video/animation a plus
- Confident Mac user with strong Microsoft Office, OneDrive and Teams skills
- Experience managing budgets, quotations and suppliers (Coupa or similar beneficial)
