The Sr Graphic Designer ideates and creates materials for GEHA brand and products to support Growth goals, including acquisition and retention of subscribers, and other organizational initiatives. Lead and partner with colleagues on the creative team, with Growth Strategy Managers and Creative Director to translate business objectives into creative solutions in all tactics, with an emphasis on direct response best practices across print, digital, direct mail, and other forms of promotion. This position ensures adherence to GEHA brand guidelines in all materials and intakes and works with feedback and input in an agile team environment. The ideal candidate has a strong creative voice with experience designing for a Health Payer or in the Healthcare Insurance arena.SKILLS
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contribute direction and create effective designs for creative materials based on business goals, audience behaviors and best practices, with a focus on ensuring final creative has an intent.

Be forward thinking and incorporate best Health Payor or Healthcare Insurance creative practices in all matters of advertising while working under minimal supervision with latitude for independent judgment.

Influences the creative team process, utilizes brand guidelines, and works within project management software.

Leads and supports other creatives on team in developing print, digital, direct mail, and other forms of creative materials. Clearly communicates rationale behind design choices and reviews creative work within the team to ensure quality and adherence to standards.

Works closely with Planning, Strategy, and other stakeholders to ensure creative materials sync to go-to-market strategy while communicating progress and status back to Managers and key stakeholders.

Attend meetings and collaborate with agency and other vendors to ensure cohesive creative for brand and individual products.

Performs related, other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in graphic design preferred; additional years of qualifying work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

6+ years of direct work experience as a Sr. Designer or Art Director, client/agency, or a hybrid of both.

Health Payer or Healthcare Insurance experience required, with an understanding of creative process in that arena, specifically direct response marketing that will engage members and prospects.

A robust design portfolio showing both print and digital work experience; with a focus on execution/implementation of campaigns.

Strong grasp of direct marketing practices; with experience in utilizing variable fields in direct mail and other templated creative.

Extensive skills in using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Understand application of brand guidelines in creative materials.

Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Knowledge of designing creative materials that adhere to accessibility standards.

Ability to partner with other designers, copywriters, and business owners to ideate and create solutions.

Be an initiative-taker with exemplary planning and time management skills.

Solid organizational and critical thinking skills, diligence, and ability to multi-task.

Continued exploration knowledge of current and upcoming technologies including Generative AI.

The annual base salary range for this position is $80,759 - $113,841 USD.
