Guerrilla is looking for a skilled, technically-minded, and passionate Senior Game Systems Designer to design, prototype and implement game systems which impact the short to mid-term gameplay loop as well as build designer workflows to support the development of the content for these systems.
As a successful candidate, you will work closely with Systems, Combat, Technical and UI/UX Designers, Gameplay Programmers and on multi-disciplinary teams creating gameplay systems and contents which delight, excite, and engage our players at a strategic level.
What you will do
As a Senior Game Systems Designer at Guerrilla, you will:
- Work closely with game directors to design and develop systems, content, and workflow which supports player power, progression, and rewards.
- Collaborate with Gameplay, Combat, and Technical Designers to develop scripting solutions which support the creation of gameplay systems content.
- Support multidisciplinary teams efforts to implement gameplay features from concept to release at the highest possible quality in a timely manner.
- Provide guidance and mentorship for junior to senior level Gameplay System Designers.
Who you are
- Proven Experience as a Senior Gameplay System Designer (or related position)
- Shipped at least one AAA game, preferably for an online multiplayer action, as a Gameplay Systems Designer or related position.
- Proficiency in logic graph creation and development of user-friendly design tools with a systematic and modular approach.
- Strong programming or scripting skills. Able to architect, write, debug and deconstruct complex systems in visual scripting languages.
- Passion for, and deep understanding of, multiplayer action games.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with providing and receiving constructive criticism.
- Self-motivated and take initiative.
