Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical General Accounting professional to support core accounting activities, including R41 accounting, budgeting and accruals, month-end close, General Ledger (GL) accounting, and balance sheet account reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in account reconciliations, journal preparation, intercompany accounting, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. Experience with SAP and BlackLine will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day General Ledger (GL) accounting activities and ensure transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with accounting policies.

• Execute month-end close activities, including accruals, provisions, journal entries, account analysis, and closing reconciliations.

• Perform bank reconciliations involving high-volume transactions, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.

• Prepare and review intercompany account reconciliations, identify differences, and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve mismatches.

• Perform fixed asset account reconciliations, including additions, disposals, depreciation, transfers, and GL-to-subledger reconciliation.

• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, including AP, AR, payroll, accruals, bank, tax, and other relevant accounts.

• Prepare and post journal entries, including payroll-related journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and other month-end adjustments.

• Support VAT processing and reconciliation, ensuring accurate accounting and timely resolution of variances.

• Support budgeting, accrual accounting, and variance analysis as required.

• Provide supporting schedules, documentation, and explanations for internal, local, and corporate audits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of progressive and diversified experience in a General Accounting/GL environment.

• Hands-on experience in account reconciliations and month-end close activities.

• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and reconciliations.

• Experience with bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, AP/AR, and fixed asset accounting.

• Experience preparing and posting journal entries, including payroll-related entries.

• Working knowledge of VAT processing and reconciliation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze and reconcile large volumes of data.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight month-end deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Flexibility to support US and UK working hours/time zones when required.

• Exposure to global accounting operations and multinational environments.
