Job Description:
* Java & Related Server-Side Technologies (Java, J2EE, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs) - Core skill set; responsible for design, development, and implementation of technical solutions adhering to enterprise architecture standards
* SQL & ETL - Ability to write complex queries, perform data extraction, transformation, and loading; essential for analytics and system integration
* UNIX / Linux Environment - Proficient in managing deployments, scripts, and troubleshooting within Unix/Linux systems
* Microservices Architecture - Strong understanding and implementation experience in microservices design, deployment, and integration
* Front-End Development (Angular) - Experience in developing responsive web interfaces integrated with backend APIs. Exposure to Angular 8+ preferred. Understanding of how front-end apps are containerized and deployed using Docker/Kubernetes
* DXC Suite (Integral, VP/MS, Product Stage, Integral Business Analytics, PrintXpress, Front End, Ignasia)- Prior experience with DXC’s insurance solutions is a strong advantage.
* Messaging Protocols (MQTT, IBM MQ, Async Architecture)- Exposure to message-based system integrations and middleware
* Insurance Domain - Experience in core insurance policy administration systems, product configuration, and analytics/reporting
* Team player - collaborate developers, provide guidance on design, architecture, and coding best practices
* SDLC / Agile / SCRUM Methodologies - Proven experience in project lifecycle management under Agile frameworks; familiar with sprint planning and reviews
* Technical Documentation - Skilled in producing and reviewing BRD, design specifications, system testing documents, and source code documentation
* Vendor Management - Experience managing vendor deliveries including design specs, testing results, and deployment packages
* Regulatory & Risk Awareness- Understanding of compliance, risk management, and mitigation strategies within insurance or financial services
* Communication & Problem-Solving Skills - Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and analytical skills; ability to communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders
Day to Day :
* Provide quality technical solution, develop out of box solutions with considerations on meeting IT architecture standards.
* Accountable for implementation timeline on enhancement pertaining to General Insurance core application, including product launch.
* Takes accountability, but not limited to, business requirements document, design / system architecture specifications, system test and integration plan, technical impact assessment and source code documentation.
* Guide and supervise developers in the understanding of the required specifications.
* Manage vendor delivery such as, but not limited to, design specifications, functional test results, and deployment package.
* Provide periodical health report on General Insurance core application.
