We're looking for an experienced Java Engineer in Tel Aviv-Yafo who is passionate about designing and building high-performance, scalable backend systems and agents. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to how we collect and process critical database metrics in a modern, cloud-native environment.

As a Java Engineer, your work will directly impact our ability to gather precise, real-time insights into database performance. You'll be crucial in developing the core backend infrastructure and the sophisticated agents that fuel our observability platform. You'll tackle challenges related to data collection, processing at scale, and system performance.
You'll work in a small, autonomous team backed by the resources and expertise of a global observability leader. This is a high-impact role with significant ownership over critical Java-based components.
What will help you succeed

• 3+ years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong experience designing and building scalable, high-performance backend systems.
• Experience with Kafka or other pub/sub messaging technologies.
• Experience with agent development, instrumentation, or data collection from external systems is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Passion for creating clean, tested, maintainable code.
• Agile mindset and experience working in cross-functional product teams.
• Bonus: Experience in data-heavy applications, database internals, or observability is a strong plus.
• Proficient English communication skills.
