Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, Jira Align

In this role, you will be a Senior Software Engineer working with the Value and Outcome management team on Objectives, themes, strategy, work tree and Import|Export. You will be a key contributor helping to modernize our stack providing a better user experience through the use of client and server-side code as well as modern front-end stacks such as ReactJs, to create responsive, interactive elements, enhancing and creating a rich user experience. You will use your database and back-end knowledge for creating and optimizing stored procedures and indexes used by the application. With your DevOps skills and expertise, you'll help our development teams be more productive by assisting with infrastructure & process to deploy and operate cloud applications.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Jira Align team, you will be counted on to provide guidance and mentorship with hands-on development of internal development, automation, and continuous integration processes. You will have a lot of autonomy and the opportunity to be involved in many different aspects of Jira Align.
Responsibilities
We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Jira Align team, passionately focused on delivering creative improvements for our engineering teams.
What you'll do:

• Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using react concepts.
• Resolve customer issues involving code error diagnosis, debugging, validation, and root cause analysis.
• Mentor more junior engineers
• Contribute to code reviews
• Craft useful technical documentation

Qualifications
Your background:

• 7+ years of professional experience in a software development team
• Experience with the Microsoft tech stack / languages (.Net, C#, scripting languages, etc.) with the ability to review code & provide feedback, etc.
• Strong fundamental software development skills
• Strong proficiency in web-based applications and architecture
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs
• Experience working with backend engineers developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts
• Experience and proficiency building reusable components and front-end libraries including component design and state management
• Strong browser/JavaScript fundamentals including DOM manipulation
• Proficiency with React.js, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS
• Proficiency in MSSQL database
• Command of Git, CI / CD and modern fundamentals
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Security driven mindset for feature and defect delivery (XSS, CSRF, etc.)
• Experience making progress through product experimentation.
• The value of progress over perfection and have a track record of shipping value to customers.

Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $176,200 - $234,900
Zone B: $158,600 - $211,500
Zone C: $146,300 - $195,000
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
