About the Position
AML RightSource offers advanced AI solutions built for the financial services industry to expose entities who may be laundering money. You’ll be working on applications that provide customers insights into risks associated with financial activity. Our engineering teams operate remotely.
We are seeking a skilled full-stack developer with expertise on the frontend to join our team. As a senior engineer, while you’ll be an individual contributor, you’ll have an impact that extends beyond the code you write: creating, articulating, and simplifying designs, providing thoughtful code review (of substance, not style), and mentoring and supporting junior developers. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web applications using Python and React, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Primary Responsibilities
This role will involve working closely with our team to:
- Develop and maintain web applications using React, Typescript, and Python - as well as contribute to overall app architecture.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement new features.
- Write clean, well-crafted and tested, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement and maintain automated tests to ensure quality and reliability.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
Required Qualifications
- Solid experience with React, Typescript, HTML and CSS.
- Solid backend experience (preferably Python).
- Robust systems design skills.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership for the systems you build and maintain.
- Expertise in web development best practices, including responsive design, web performance, testing, deployment and security.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Proficiency with version control systems, such as Git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
- Experience writing and maintaining automated tests.
- Experience writing and maintaining browser extensions.
- Experience with Storybook for component-driven development.
