Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our growing technology team in Melbourne, Australia. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust full stack applications using .NET and Angular, while leveraging Azure cloud services to deliver scalable solutions. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will take ownership of complex technical challenges, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions that drive our platform forward.

  • Design and develop full stack applications using .NET (C#) for backend services and Angular for frontend interfaces
  • Architect and implement cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure, including app services, databases, and serverless components
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices that meet performance and scalability requirements
  • Develop and maintain SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal query performance
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to automate deployment and testing processes
  • Write clean, well-documented code following SOLID principles and design patterns
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Mentor and guide junior developers in best practices and technical skill development
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues with efficiency and analytical rigor
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in cloud computing and full stack development
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Significant years of professional experience in full stack software development
  • Hands-on experience with .NET framework and C# programming
  • Demonstrated expertise with Angular (TypeScript, JavaScript, RxJS)
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database design and optimization
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and implementation
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and analytical approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:

  • Experience designing and implementing microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps tools and practices
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization technologies
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD)
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards
  • Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or other serverless technologies
  • Familiarity with performance optimization and scalability patterns
  • Previous experience mentoring or leading technical teams
