We are looking for a Senior Frontend Infrastructure Developer to join our Frontend Guild and help shape the foundational tools, design systems, and CI/CD pipelines that power Gong’s UI. In this role, you will bridge the gap between architecture and user experience, driving R&D velocity by building the scalable systems that empower every other engineer in the company to deliver world-class products.

You’ll Own:
  • End-to-End Feature Delivery: Taking full responsibility for your features—from early ideation and wireframing with Product and UX teams to production.
  • Professional Mastery: Taking charge of your own growth by utilizing dedicated learning time, professional workshops, and lectures to stay at the forefront of technology.
  • The Development Environment: Maintaining and evolving the standards that define how frontend code is written and deployed across the organization.
You’ll Solve:
  • Multi-Dimensional Complexity: Tackling technical hurdles across architecture and code, ensuring solutions balance immediate product needs with long-term system health.
  • Developer Friction: Streamlining the day-to-day experience for engineers by providing seamless tools and consistent infrastructure.
  • The Scaling Challenge: Translating high-level visions into a robust SaaS product that remains high-performing and easy to use as it scales globally.
You’ll Impact:
  • The Design System: Directly influencing Gong’s UX and frontend consistency by building the components and patterns used by all teams.
  • R&D Velocity: Increasing the speed of the entire engineering department through improved coding standards and optimized CI/CD pipelines.
  • Frontend Excellence: Contributing to the Frontend Guild’s mission to ensure Gong’s vision is backed by solid, scalable, and high-quality code.
How You’ll Succeed Here:
  • 5+ years of industry experience developing web applications.
  •  strong sense of ownership and enjoy taking responsibility for the product you help create.
  • A deep understanding of JavaScript.
  • Strong experience with React (must-have).
  • Experience building large-scale, cloud-based web applications.
  • Experience with build tools such as vite, esbuild and managing large-scale code projects.
  • Proven experience in the architecture of design systems and components.
  • Strong verbal and written English skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team.
  • Familiarity with backend languages such as Java, Node.js, C#, or others (an advantage).
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team of highly skilled peers.
  • Preferably, a degree in computer science or a related field.
