Senior Frontend Engineer

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

AMP provides Asset Management firms with unique insights to turbocharge their distribution of fund products through the US Intermediary/advisor-sold channel. It is the first end-to-end digital distribution solution in the industry. Our centralized data platform leverages the combined data from all of our services, which is then enriched with partner and third-party data. We provide insights to asset managers about their target audience and how to best reach that audience. 

As a Frontend Engineer, you will join a passionate product, design, and development team building digitally intuitive interfaces for our products in order to achieve our mission of building engaging wealth experiences to improve financial wellbeing. We are a React/Python shop so expertise in Javascript and React is essential.

To succeed in this role, you must be a motivated and tenacious self-starter who is comfortable interpreting technology requirements, based on business requirements, and implementing them with maximum impact to the users. You must be results and execution oriented. You will be expected to develop technology in a way that minimizes technology debt while maximizing the customer experience. Working alongside designers and product managers, you are responsible for taking a concept to the final product and must be passionate about end to end consumer experience, and not just engineering.

This is a high-impact role on a lean team that is results-and execution-oriented. We are a team of do-ers!

THE ROLE: 

• Participate in architectural, design, and product sessions and be a crucial part of the decision-making process on overall technology direction
• Work closely with Product, Design, and other Devs to build customer-facing features
• Work closely with Product, Design, and other Devs to create a user-friendly UX and bring wireframes and designs to life
• Jointly own the frontend architecture (currently HTML/CSS/React/GraphQL) and engineer complete solutions to problems
• Manage technical optimization for maximum speed and scalability
• Troubleshoot and fix product issues

WHO YOU ARE:

• 4+ years of full stack development experience, with at least 2-3 years of frontend experience using React
• Deep understanding of modern front end frameworks and libraries
• Passion for user experience, beautiful products and customer empathy
• Scrum or agile methodology experience with solid understanding of agile development processes and principles
• Experience with interactive visualizations using D3 or other technologies is a plus
• Strong understanding of design, Figma experience preferred
• Ability to thrive in a highly demanding, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment (we run weekly sprints)
• Highly flexible, good tolerance for ambiguity, and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
• A top performer with a proactive approach who has a “doer” & problem-solver mentality 
• An exceptional team player with strong communication skills 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS PACKAGE:

The expected starting salary range for this position in Colorado is between $120,000 - $150,000. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. 

This is a hybrid position located at our Boulder office with four days in-office, one day flex.
