Job Responsibilities

  • Work with developers, designers and product managers to implement features for company website and other internal applications.
  • Identify and resolve standards in performance, usability and accessibility. Perform site optimization and update internal documentation, acting as a liaison between business, User Experience and Site-Reliability Engineering.
  • Assist and educate junior Front-End Developers on best practices of front-end development.
  • Collaborate with development and Quality Assurance teams to code HTML/CSS/JavaScript interfaces, test, and verify projects through deployment process.
  • Oversee site optimization for Search Engine Optimization, cleaner and concise code, and code weight.
  • Update internal documentation when new tools are available for developers to use and distribute the information to developers and their managers.
  • Build out templates using ReactJS for new features and layouts. Optimize code for clean, performant and accessible functionality. Create reusable HTML, CSS & JavaScript modules.
  • Oversee deployment of production code.
  • Set up A/B Tests for new features.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.
  • Follow legal policies as directed.

Telecommuting may be permitted up to 4 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to Beyond, Inc. at 799 West Coliseum Way, Midvale, UT 84047. Salary: $144,955 - $159,900 per year.

Minimum Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in in Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field, plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any occupation/position/job title involving front-end application development and website coding.
  • Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience performing front-end application development (including requirement gathering and analysis, planning, development, implementation, and maintenance) using front-end technologies (including CSS, HTML, and JavaScript) to engage in the full development life cycle; 3 years of professional experience building custom and reusable JavaScript components and modules; 3 years of professional experience using JavaScript and programming concepts (including NPM scripts, Webpack, or Babel) and using backend languages (including Java, C#, Python, PHP, or Ruby); 3 years of professional experience utilizing Front End Build Processes and Package Management; and 3 years of professional experience performing Unit Test creation and implementation, debugging and bug fixes, version control, deployment, Backend API Integration, A/B Test setup, and Browser Performance and Compatibility.
