As the Senior Fraud Technology Lead you will provide technical oversight and leadership within the fraud investigation team, focusing on the technology ecosystem that supports fraud prevention and detection. This role is responsible for reviewing and recommending updates to existing tools, identifying new technologies, and ensuring alignment of current tools with organizational needs. The Senior Technology Lead will collaborate with IT and fraud teams to maintain robust, effective, and up-to-date fraud controls. You will lead technical process improvements to enhance effectiveness across fraud operations, while demonstrating strong leadership skills.

- Lead the assessment, selection, and implementation of fraud tools and technologies, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Review and monitor existing fraud controls, recommending updates, replacements, or decommissioning to enhance overall system effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).
- Act as a liaison between the fraud team and IT to manage technical changes, integrations, and updates to the fraud technology ecosystem.
- Develop and manage change requests for enhancements, bug fixes, and upgrades to fraud tools and software.
Fraud Controls and System Enhancements
- Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of existing fraud controls, making recommendations to improve detection, prevention, and investigation processes.
- Identify and recommend new tools or features that could enhance the current fraud ecosystem, focusing on areas like automation, machine learning, and real-time monitoring.
- Ensure that all tools and controls align with compliance requirements, industry best practices, and organizational policies.
- Monitor the implementation of new tools or system changes, ensuring proper configuration and integration with other systems.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Provide technical guidance and leadership within the fraud investigation team, supporting the development and implementation of technology solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify training needs and facilitate the development of training programs related to new tools and technologies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and vendor partners, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of fraud prevention tools.
Process Improvement
- Analyze current fraud investigation tools to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement technical process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure improvements are effectively integrated and sustained.
- Track and measure the success of process improvements, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Use data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential vulnerabilities within the fraud prevention systems.
- Provide technical support to fraud analysts and SIU investigators, helping to analyze complex cases and interpret technical data related to fraud incidents.
- Develop detailed reports on tool performance, control effectiveness, and overall system health for leadership review.
Project Management
- Manage projects related to technology implementations, updates, and system enhancements, including planning, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Oversee the rollout of new fraud technology solutions, coordinating testing, implementation, and user acceptance phases.
- Track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role within fraud prevention, IT, or cybersecurity.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to guide projects and support team activities.
- Strong understanding of fraud investigation processes, related technologies, and process improvement methodologies.
- Proven experience in managing and implementing technology tools and solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and apply findings.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and vendor partners.
- Strong project management skills, with a history of delivering technology projects on time and within budget.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with fraud prevention tools such as Giact, Pindrop, LexisNexis, and SecureLogix.
- Experience with automation tools, machine learning, and data analytics in fraud detection.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in process improvement frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.
Working Conditions
This position may require occasional travel to meet with vendors or attend industry conferences.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
