TITLE: Senior FP&A Analyst - Business & Strategy

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Business & Strategy FP&A Senior Analyst is a fully qualified, experienced professional role within Duck Creek Technologies' FP&A team. This role provides critical financial analysis and support across designated business units. The Senior Analyst works independently on complex problems, applying sound judgment and advanced analytical techniques to deliver insights that inform strategic and operational decisions. This role contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, while enhancing visibility into key financial and operational metrics

  • Support financial planning and analysis for assigned business units, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reviews.
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and support decision-making.
  • Conduct variance analysis and reporting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights to business partners.
  • Collaborate with Corporate FP&A, Accounting, and Operations to ensure consistency in financial assumptions and reporting.
  • Assist in developing business cases for investments and operational initiatives.
  • Contribute to pricing and profitability analyses for products and services.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and support implementation of enhancements.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support strategic goals.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of applicable experience in FP&A or related financial roles.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience in SaaS or enterprise software environments.
  • Exposure to high-growth or PE-backed business models.
  • Familiarity with investment analysis and business case development.
  • Exposure to AI tools like ChatGPT, CoPilot and Claude are highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:

  • Understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, margin, etc.).
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize financial and operational data into clear insights.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Collaborative mindset and focus on business impact.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and FP&A tools

Work Environment & Other Requirements:

  • Travel: 10%
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the country of the job location
