Primary Purpose: This position will drive and lead the management of Finance data and reporting, making well thought-out decisions on complex data reporting issues and work cross functionally with all areas of the business and IT to fulfill their reporting related responsibilities.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD and Mauldin, SC.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work cross functional with:
    • Reporting & Analytics team and Governance team
    • Brands, Finance & Non-Finance teams
    • Support companies and teams
    • IT squads and teams
    • Other customers that we have (internal and/or external)
  • Self-motivation ongoing (Self Starter)
  • Ability to make well thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous issues
  • Take lead to schedule meetings and follow up meetings as needed for critical work and projects.
  • Work within the guidelines of the company/finance values and mission
  • Works with governance groups to oversee compliance and management of data
  • Key contributor to drive the overall finance roadmap
  • Contribute to the effective implementation of major projects and/or functional initiatives
  • Effective internal and external communications
  • Leads education and training related to data and reporting management to team, business partners and end users
  • Drives and leads reporting related system implementation and management of data/reporting
  • Ability to research and solution problems that arise
  • Applies expertise and core competencies
  • General tasks for all team members include:
  • reporting definitions and implementation requirements
  • analyzing data/report requirements
  • monitoring data quality
  • assisting in cataloging data reporting elements
  • defining business terms
  • assisting of and building out Power BI reporting and dashboards for consumption of all levels of the business
  • other general tasks as needed
  • Completion timelines of general and individual tasks will be set and agreed on by manager & associate based on project and priorities, these timelines will fluctuate based on business needs
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.


Qualifications:

  • 6+ years or related experience in accounting/finance.
  • Bachelor's degree accounting/finance, data science/analytics
  • Software knowledge: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), PowerBI, SAP S/4, SAP BPC, & Jira.
  • Understanding of the following:
    • Accounting terminology and processes (GL/AP/AR/Cash Sales/Inventory)
    • Financial reporting (P&Ls, Income statements, Balance Sheets, etc.)
    • Retail business (Operations/Stores, Merchandising, D&T)
    • Azure/FionA
    • Data life cycle (from source to reporting)
  • Collaborate effectively and with respect across teams and other business partners.
