Senior Financial Controller

ABOUT THE ROLE

Vega is looking for an Senior Financial Controller to own our accounting function end to end. You will report to the VP Finance, and serve as the backbone of our financial operations as we scale. This is a hands on role for someone who has already run a controllership at a high growth company and knows how to build processes that keep pace with rapid growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, delivering accurate and timely financial statements
• Lead the annual audit process and manage the relationship with external auditors
• Own tax compliance across jurisdictions, working with external advisors on corporate tax, VAT, Sales Tax and withholding matters
• Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with local requirements
• Own the billing and collections cycle, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and cash application
• Own revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including contract review and revenue accounting policies
• Build, document, and continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls suited to a scaling company
• Manage day to day accounting operations, including bookkeeping and finance operations
• Drive ERP and finance systems improvements, ensuring our systems support the scale and complexity of the business
• Partner with the VP Finance on cash management, financial reporting to management and investors, and ad hoc projects

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Certified Public Accountant (Israeli CPA) certification
• 7 or more years of accounting experience, including prior experience as a Controller
• Experience at a high growth B2B SaaS company
• Hands on experience with Priority ERP
• Experience leading or playing a key role in a NetSuite implementation
• Deep knowledge of revenue recognition under ASC 606 in a SaaS context
• Proven ability to build and scale accounting processes, controls, and systems
• Strong ownership mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to operate independently in a fast moving environment
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Experience working with United States entities and multi entity consolidation
