The Senior Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting the business unit, namely, Expense Shared Service team, in accounting operations, reporting, and reconciliations. The individual will be managing tight deadlines, with involvement in reconciliations, month-end tasks, and timely investigations of inquiries from different levels of management within the division.
Position Responsibilities
- Supports the team operations (posting of ledger entries for accruals, expense allocations, amortizations, asset capitalization). Provides analysis for Actuals & Plan data. The level of detail involves cost center management, as well as other dimensions of expense analysis. Essbase/Smartview reporting tools (using LAWSON platform) are highly utilized
- Perform reconciliation of financial data across different databases to ensure data integrity with the company’s GL database. Provide support for queries presented by managers in relation to the reports in this database.
- Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Business Unit/Manager (process improvement, system UAT, etc)
- Manage SharePoint site to ensure all requests related to projects are fulfilled on a timely basis
- Create, implement and maintain documentation to provide clarity and consistency from
- Recommend changes to processes & procedures and follow-up to ensure all corrective actions are fully implemented. Help to set-up preventive controls to improve overall accuracy of the data
- Coordinate with the Business Units to provide update on a periodic basis
- Support on projects, etc.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in accounting, finance, or business management and or recognized accounting designation.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting operations and/or financial planning.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in ambiguous environment and adapt to change while managing time and workload with aggressive timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across cultures. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel (i.e. mastery of excel formulas and pivot tables is a must; VBA is a plus). Proficient in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Project.
- Willing to work on night shift (Manila time) and overtime may be required to meet business deadlines.
