Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst role is a member of the WI Finance Team delivering impactful insight financial analysis to our business partners. The primary objective of the role will be to provide a broad range of analytics, financial management, and strategic business partner support to drive improved outcomes and financial results to the broader organization.
This role will have three main areas of focus: the Fidelity Workplace Consulting (FWC) Line of Business, the Defined Benefits (DB) Line of Business, and the Enterprise Paper Reduction initiative.
The Fidelity Workplace Consulting Group is composed of over 600 professionals who advise clients on the management of their domestic benefits. This is a fast-growing business within Fidelity, providing a broad variety of services that touch on every area of benefits design, strategy, funding, communication, and delivery.
The Defined Benefits Group is a matrixed 1,000+ person organization responsible for delivering high quality DB administration & pensions solutions to Fidelity’s clients & customers. In 2025, Fidelity was named #1 market share leader, as the largest DB recordkeeper.
Fidelity’s Operations Council is focused on driving best practices across the Operations function at Fidelity as well as executing against several key strategic enterprise initiatives. The Enterprise Paper Reduction initiative continues to be a foundational focus for this group.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics
5+ years of related work experience
Solid knowledge of financial modeling, presentation, and data visualization tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Thinkcell, Tableau, Business Objects, Anaplan)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to 'tell the story' and communicate effectively with Finance and Business Partners at varying levels of the organization and across the enterprise
Intellectually curious, self-starter who takes initiative, learns quickly and is comfortable managing opposing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Reliability, flexibility, and goal-oriented member of the team who is motivated for both individual and team success
Thorough understanding of financial concepts, methodologies, and accounting principles and how they affect business decisions
Demonstrates understanding of process flow and makes recommendations for improvement
Ability to take initiative and seek creative solutions that challenge conventional approach
Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of financial results, including key drivers, emerging trends, and anomalies to share with senior management to guide effective decision making
Using tools and business knowledge to continuously provide insightful information, reporting and analytics that evolve with changes in the business, including proactive thinking and analysis
Reviewing, analyzing and monitoring business performance, synthesizing data, analyses, and conclusions into presentation form for senior management
Operating with a high degree of autonomy
Thinking and working across WI & the Enterprise to ensure consistency in analysis approach, standards for data and definitions, and proactive support of time critical projects
Finding opportunities to streamline work processes and simplify models to make the team more efficient and effective
Developing an understanding of WI financial architecture to understand impact of assigned business(es) on LOB and product financial performance and to support modernization efforts
Proactive partnership and communication with business and Finance partners

The Team
As a member of the Workplace Investing & Health Care Group Finance team, you will be responsible for providing senior management with insightful, action-oriented financial analysis to guide effective decision-making that impacts Fidelity’s clients and associates. This role will be key in supporting Finance’s efforts in the growth and development of the business.
