Position: Senior Financial Analyst FP&A

Location: Atlanta, GA

Role, Team & Responsibilities:

The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the FP&A Manager and will be responsible for compiling the financial management reports and for executing the planning cycles for Hiscox USA. This includes planning, forecasting, ad-hoc analysis, management reporting, and accounting for insurance reserving. The SFA will be an integral part of the Finance team, interacting with finance professionals and corporate finance teams.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support the FP&A Manager to coordinate annual business planning and the quarterly reforecast process

  • Compile, analyze, and report monthly actuals to senior management and provide appropriate variance commentary

  • Lead the monthly cash-flow forecast to ensure proper liquidity ratios across various legal entities

  • Ensure deadlines are met while preparing presentations for leadership

  • Create detailed financial modes to help deliver on strategic initiatives

  • Assist the Director of FP&A in providing financial insights and provide cover for the FP&A Manager when necessary

  • Ensure financial data is accurate and reconciles across various financial systems

  • Support monthly expense analysis, including booking reserve entries and monitoring headcount, to track annual spending vs budget and prior year

  • Collaborate with business partners to track spending and find expense risks and opportunities

  • Support the Statutory Reporting team by providing necessary information for reporting and collaboration of the ORSA and RBC

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 6+ years of finance experience

  • Experience within the P&C insurance industry preferred but not required

  • Strong analytical skills; must be detail and results-oriented with a high degree of accuracy

  • Self-directed, organized and self-motivated to accomplish goals

  • Able to handle competing priorities in a dynamic business environment

  • Experience building financial models

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship building skills; able to communicate clearly and effectively in person and in writing

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office applications include advanced Excel proficiency, general ledger software, and financial data warehouse. Experience with large ERP systems and Hyperion tools is required. Experience with Tableau is preferred but not required.

Education:

  • Bachelors in a Business-Related Field, preferably Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred but not required

Salary: $90,000-$100,000

Please note that this position is hybrid and requires two (2) days in our Atlanta office (Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area) weekly.
