Department OverviewMBR is a function within the MSI Finance Operations Center in Penang. The MSI Finance Operations Centre is recognized as a trusted partner to customers, suppliers, and employees, providing excellent service and quality support. Our department supports a wide range of Motorola Solutions businesses and operations finance functions across APAC. We are responsible for OPEX accounting and controlling, department maintenance, and ensuring we provide great support to our business partners within APAC in all finance areas.
Job Description

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on the OPEX for APAC business organizations and build business commentaries for Monthly Budget vs Actual and Forecast.

  • Perform analysis on spending trends for APAC business organizations.

  • Monitor forecasting accuracy, develop measurable indicators, highlight trends, and analyze causes of unexpected variances.

  • Acquired budget management skills such as monitoring and controlling the APAC business organization estimates and preparing annual budgets.

  • Support Dept change, creation and estimate effort % updates in EPM.

  • Support Budget loading in EPM

  • Support monthly financial closing and manual adjustments booking

  • Close collaboration with the respective Dept Managers, Business Budget Champions in driving budget control efficiency.

  • Close collaboration with the respective Organization Managers, Operation Leads, Finance Controllers, and Directors for the International Finance Review.

  • Continuous drive efficiency opportunities such as reporting & actively contributing to cross-functional initiatives

  • Any other dept related requests & ad hoc reporting

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university or college

  • More than 5 years of experience performing various finance roles

  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently, attention to detail, and be comfortable with ambiguity and interface with all relevant internal teams and external business partners at all times

  • Ability to manage tasks with high complexities, and tight deadlines, work on multiple assignments, and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment

  • Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and ability to conceptualize

  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills

  • Flexibility to work beyond regular working hours

  • Advanced MS Excel & Google Sheet experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of Oracle & Business Intelligence tools (Tableau is desirable)
