The opportunity: 

Perform monthly expense management analysis and create management reporting for various audiences

  • Development of annual strategic plans, annual expense budgets and ongoing forecasts
  • Create high quality expense analyses and models in support of business initiatives.
  • Participate in larger expense projects, centered around new initiatives for growth or integration of acquisitions
  • Work in close collaboration with Health & Risk Solutions FP&A team to support their overall financial modeling
  • Analyze expense drivers for strategic and business planning.
  • Provide insight on scaling and expense reduction opportunities

How you will contribute: 

Financial Analysis

  • Help develop ways to identify opportunities for expense savings.
  • Work with the business to help develop expense-driven pricing models
  • Maintain unit-based costing exercises
  • Identify and track productivity savings identified through IT projects and other business unit initiatives.
  • Partner with FP&A team to create expense views for product P&Ls

Expense Management & Reporting

  • Coordinate with business units & functions to understand expense drivers and develop plans during annual business planning, forecasting, and strategic planning exercises.
  • Work within the expense management team to help develop monthly expense forecasts.
  • Work within established timelines and prepares management reporting for planning review process with Senior Management
  • Perform routine expense analysis to consistently explain variances.
  • Work with Business Units and support functions to regularly communicate status of expense results and understand drivers.
  • Support team with operational month-end close activities and reporting, as needed

What you will bring with you: 

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or an equivalent quantitative field
  • 4 - 8 years of Finance experience, with experience in Expense Management or FP&A a plus
  • Exceptional analytic skills – ability to identify issues and synthesize data to present findings & recommendations.
  • Project-based work experience – either project management or being part of project teams
  • Advanced model and presentation design, utilizing Excel
  • Strong organizational skills; accurate and detailed oriented
  • Strong collaborate skills – ability to work cross functionally.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities work effectively and independently within time constraints.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in/exposure to Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Tableau, SAP, & SQL or comfortable quickly learning new technologies

  • Southern California region: 83,400-125,100 annually
  • Central California region: 87,900-131,900 annually
  • Northern California region: 93,900-140,900 annually

If you are a Minnesota, Colorado or Nevada resident, the salary range for this position is 79,500-119,300 annually

If you are a Illinois, Connecticut or Maryland resident, the salary range for this position is 83,400-125,100 annually

If you are Washington, Washington D.C., and Rhode Island resident, the salary range for this position is 87,900-140,900 annually

If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is 93,900-140,900 annually
