The opportunity

Unity Technologies is looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our team in China. As a core business partner for Unity China, you’ll play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting to support commercial strategy and business decision-making. You’ll help set clear financial targets for the organization while ensuring financial processes comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards. This is an opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and provide insights that directly contribute to business performance and growth.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis for commercial operations, with a focus on sales pipeline, revenue, costs, expenses, and other key business metrics.
  • Partnering closely with Accounting on month-end close activities to ensure financial data is accurate and complete.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Operations, Legal, Accounting, Tax, and other cross-functional teams to drive business performance and optimize financial outcomes.
  • Ensuring financial processes comply with PRC GAAP, US GAAP, and Unity’s financial policies and standards.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and driving automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives, including new system implementations, new business model rollouts, and process optimization projects.
  • Coordinating and supporting internal and external audit activities.
  • Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and actionable insights to support executive and business decision-making.

What we're looking for

  • A finance professional with a Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least 6 years of relevant finance experience.
  • Strong experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business partnering.
  • A candidate with experience across both Big Four accounting and commercial finance/FP&A is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of PRC GAAP and US GAAP, with CPA certification or an equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and analyze complex datasets and translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to use both languages effectively in a professional working environment.
  • A detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong communicator and stakeholder manager who can collaborate effectively across functions and levels.
  • A self-motivated and adaptable individual who can manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and take ownership of deliverables.

  • Experience working in a Big Four accounting firm, ideally combined with commercial finance or FP&A experience.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve financial analysis, reporting, or day-to-day productivity.
  • Experience supporting financial systems implementations, business model rollouts, or process automation initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating internal and external audits.

  • Base Salary Range: ¥262,100 – ¥465,900 CNY gross

This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
