Job Description
Position Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst will join the BID Portfolio Management team within Brookfield Infrastructure and provide dedicated coverage across the BID loan portfolio. The team supports strong asset oversight and informed, proactive decision-making.
The role will manage a portfolio of loans and contribute to both asset-level monitoring and fund-level reporting. Key areas of focus include borrower compliance, financial performance relative to underwriting, outlook and forecast updates, valuations and return analysis, quarterly results and investor reporting. The position offers broad exposure across the platform and regular interaction with borrowers, investment professionals, senior management and functional teams.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills who is comfortable working with detailed financial information in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor borrower compliance with financial covenants, reporting requirements and interest payment obligations, including detailed review of compliance certificates and supporting materials
- Review and track financial performance against underwriting and prior forecasts, including analysis of monthly and quarterly financial statements, operating reports and annual budgets
- Participate in regular borrower calls to understand operating performance, key developments, risks and outlook
- Update deal return models for actual fundings, repayments and other changes, and maintain current forecasts and return metrics
- Prepare and support quarterly valuations, including yield-to-call and yield-to-maturity calculations, management review materials and SOX support
- Support fund-level reporting and analysis, including carry model updates, monthly watchlist meetings and quarterly results presentations covering portfolio performance, fundraising and pipeline activity
- Complete recurring and ad hoc investor relations requests, including portfolio-wide analyses and reporting
- Support internal audit compliance reviews, hedging-related activities and other fund-level portfolio management requirements
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have:
- Approximately 3-5 years of experience in investment management, credit, transaction advisory, valuation, financial analysis, accounting or a related field
- A CPA, CA, CFA or other relevant professional designation
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, with the ability to review and update deal models
- Experience analyzing financial statements, forecasts, budgets, covenant calculations and operating performance;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize detailed information into clear messages for senior stakeholders
- Strong judgment, attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying risks and following through on issues
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaborate effectively across teams in a dynamic environment
