Job Description:
We're looking for a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to deliver proactive financial insights that drive smart, profitable decisions across the business. You'll work closely with senior leadership, build dynamic models and dashboards, and support high-impact planning and forecasting initiatives. This role offers exposure to executive decision-making, opportunities to lead strategic projects, and the chance to influence business outcomes through data. What You’ll Do:
You’ll support senior leadership and business functions on a variety of financial planning, forecasting, and analysis requirements on a variety of topics.
Consult on a variety of analytics and topics to inform leadership of opportunities, risks, and strategy.
Build financial models and create dashboards to provide timely, accurate data; summarize complex and ambiguous financial data into insightful insights that drive decision-making.
Develop trusting partnerships with business units to inform and influence decision-making; produce proactive analysis for assigned portfolio of functions and/or topics (i.e. external market intelligence).
Partner and/or lead projects to research and report on the retail marketplace, preparing key economic indicators and commodity price updates; create scenario plans, reports, and evaluate competitor’s market strategies.
Engage in process improvement initiatives to optimize the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department.
About You:
A post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Business Administration).
Working towards a business-related designation (e.g. CPA, CFA, MBA).
A minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in financial analysis, forecasting/budgeting, and data modeling.
Excellent skill utilizing Microsoft Excel (e.g. analysis features, techniques/functions to automate or manage large data sets); knowledge of VBA, TM1, and Hyperion would be an asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to facilitate and present in group settings.
Ability to take initiative, collaborate effectively, and work independently as required; accurately estimates time required to complete or follow-up on assignments, keeping relevant team members up to date on progress
Passion for quantitative analysis, innovation and investigative curiosity; the desire to continuously learn and discover new ways to drive business value.
