Secondment/Contract: Up to 12 months

Are you results driven, self-motivated with a passion for financial reporting, financial analysis and continuous improvement? Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, the successful candidate will play a critical role in leading internal segment reporting, cost allocation, and performance analytics across business units. This role also supports period-end and year-end close processes, delivering insightful financial analysis and commentary to senior leadership, while preparing high-quality management reporting for key stakeholders.

With a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and driving impact, this role ensures the completeness and reliability of both financial and management reporting. About the Role

  • Leverage advanced analytics to deliver actionable insights and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models to support strategic initiatives and business cases.
  • Prepare financial reports, analyses, and supporting information for key stakeholders, including LCBO’s business partners, internal auditors, and Provincial auditors for the year-end audit.
  • Support period-end, quarterly, annual close and reporting cycles, including variance analysis and meaningful financial insights for senior management.
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of internal segment reporting, ensuring alignment with internal management reporting structures.
  • Enhance and maintain cost allocation and chargeback methodologies analysis across business units and support strategic decision-making.
  • Design and deliver interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to enhance visibility into financial and operational performance.
  • Ensure reporting is accurate, scalable, and aligned with management, external reporting, and IFRS requirements.
  • Support ad hoc initiatives and operational priorities, including finance system upgrades, user acceptance testing, and process enhancements.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support operations.

About You

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4–6 years of experience in financial analysis.
  • An accounting designation is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial processes and complex data analysis methodologies following established accounting principles and standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with and applying IFRS/IASs.
  • External reporting experience in Retail field area.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power BI, with strong working knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Fiori considered strong assets.
  • Proven experience in segment reporting, cost allocation, and intracompany transactions across complex business unit structures, delivering accurate, insight-driven results.
  • Experience with system implementation, including test script development, testing tools, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of building and sustaining strong business relationships.
