About the Role:
A Senior Financial Accountant at MOOMOO ANZ is responsible for the timely and accurate processing, analysis, and reporting of financial information while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements. This role supports business operations and process improvements, working closely with internal teams and managing external relationships such as auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides critical financial insights and expert advice that shape company strategy, investment decisions, and risk management targets for MOOMOO ANZ leadership.
- Develops, executes, and oversees rigorous financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles, directly supporting sustainable growth and efficient capital allocation.
- Leads business case preparation, financial modelling, and feasibility analyses for investments and operational projects, enabling informed business expansion and innovation.
- Partners with executives across finance, operations, and technology, translating complex financial data into actionable recommendations for business leaders.
- Mentors junior accountants, drives continuous improvement, and nurtures a culture of accuracy and accountability across the finance team.
- Maintains relationships with banks, suppliers, and external business partners, safeguarding the company's reputation and financial position.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare returns for GST, payroll tax, FBT, and related legislations.
Requirements
- CA/CPA qualified, with strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience, ideally within financial services or medium-to-large organizations.
- Advanced Excel skills with proficiency in financial systems (Oracle).
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
- In-depth understanding of statutory requirements, AASB/IFRS standards, and internal compliance frameworks.
