OVERVIEW
We are seeking a practiced and strategic Senior Finance Transformation Lead on a fixed term basis, to lead and execute critical initiatives aimed at optimising our finance function. This role will play a pivotal part in delivering large-scale finance transformation programs, ranging from ERP system implementation (SAP) and end-to-end process improvements across the finance function, to the re-design of the deal-to-cash process amongst other finance projects.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance, change management, and technology-enabled transformation programs, with a proven track record of delivering results in complex, matrixed organisations.
Main responsibilities to include:
- Lead all finance projects to ensure the successful implementation of all finance projects.
- Stakeholder management - act as a bridge between finance, IT, and other business units to ensure alignment and buy-in for transformation initiatives within the UK and International entities.
- Take the lead on identifying other finance processes requiring transformation outside of the already planned projects.
- Identify opportunities to standardise finance processes across all entities to allow for cross collaboration across entities whilst ensuring improved efficiency.
- Management of the Finance Transformation team, including mentoring, coaching, supervision and support with any day-to-day needs.
- Implement and maintain strong & effective financial controls and escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Identify potential process efficiencies & contribute towards a high standard, continuous improvement culture.
- Change management - champion change management efforts, including communication, training, and support for new systems and ways of working.
- Governance & risk management - ensure appropriate governance, risk controls, and compliance standards are maintained throughout project lifecycles.
- Maintain documentation of company-wide accounting policies and procedures.
- Review, assess and document accounting and financial reporting implications of complex transactions.
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary.
- Support the CAA UK finance function as required.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
- At least 6 years of experience in finance transformation, including at least one full-cycle ERP implementation is required
- Deep understanding of financial processes and systems, including best practices in automation and digitisation
- Strong knowledge of ERP platforms (e.g., SAP S/4HANA)
- Demonstrated experience in project/program management and change leadership
- Key stakeholder management experience is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, stakeholder engagement is required
- Prior people management experience is required
- Ability to work in fast-paced, complex environments with multiple priorities
