The role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to join our dynamic Finance Team. This critical role will focus on enhancing our financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards, and improving internal controls.

The Senior Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in external financial and covenant reporting, technical financial accounting, and will be a key point of contact across various departments including Strategic Finance, FP&A, and Legal. Additionally, this role will provide support for tax-related projects and other ad-hoc technical accounting initiatives.

Day to day responsibilities.

External Financial Reporting:

• Assist with the preparation and review of external financial statements. 
• Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process.
Covenant Reporting:

• Prepare and monitor financial covenant reports. 
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to external stakeholders.
Technical Financial Reporting:

• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in line with IFRS. 
• Guide on complex accounting issues and new accounting standards.
• Document technical accounting positions and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.

 Internal Controls and Documentation:

  • Evaluate and improve internal controls over financial reporting. 
  • Develop and document internal control procedures. 
  • Ensure adherence to internal control policies and procedures.

Month-End Preparation: 

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Provide support for the month-end close process.

Ad-Hoc Projects:

  • Participate in various technical accounting projects as needed.
  • Provide expertise for special projects and initiatives.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

  • Act as a key liaison with Strategic Finance, FP&A and Legal teams.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.

We’re looking for...

• ACA qualified. 
• Strong audit background, beneficial to have FS experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, including experience of IFRS 2 & IFRS 9.
• Ability to read and interpret accounting standards, regulatory guidelines, and legislation.
• Experience exploring technical accounting matters and drafting technical papers.

Bonus Skills:

• Tax experience is beneficial. 
• Experience with SPV structures is beneficial.
