Electrolux is seeking for a Sr. Finance Manager of Project Controlling, a tactical and strategic business partner to support the innovative Projects that we executing in North America.

The Project Controller is responsible for providing financial leadership and business partnering throughout the execution of major capital projects, including the construction and startup of new manufacturing facilities. This role supports project teams through financial planning, forecasting, business case analysis, cost control, cash flow management, and financial governance.

The Project Controller leads financial analysis of actual results and projections, ensuring alignment with approved business cases and investment objectives. The role is also responsible for supporting accounting compliance, financial reporting, capital expenditure tracking, balance sheet management, and coordination with Finance functions.

As a key member of the project organization, the Project Controller serves as the financial link between project stakeholders, providing insight, transparency, and decision support to help ensure successful project execution.

What you'll do:

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for major capital projects, including construction of new manufacturing facilities and related infrastructure investments.
  • Monitor project performance against approved business cases, budgets, schedules, and financial targets; identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain project financial forecasts, including CapEx spending, cash flow projections, commitments, and expected returns.
  • Analyze actual results versus forecasts and business case assumptions, providing variance analysis and recommendations to project leadership.
  • Develop and present financial reporting packages, dashboards, and executive-level summaries to project sponsors and senior management.
  • Ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting for project-related transactions, including capitalization, Construction-in-Progress (CIP) accounting, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Partner closely with Plant Controlling, Accounting, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Project Management teams to ensure financial alignment and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project stage-gate reviews and investment approval processes by preparing financial analyses and validating business case assumptions.
  • Maintain project governance processes and ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and project controlling procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Tax department regarding project-related incentives, grants, and other government support programs.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements, including management reporting and statutory reporting as applicable.
  • Provide financial guidance and decision support to project leaders and functional stakeholders to drive effective cost management and capital allocation decisions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project controlling processes, tools, and reporting methodologies.
  • Travel up to 20% as required.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, Controlling, Project Controlling, or Capital Project Finance within a manufacturing, industrial, or publicly traded company environment.

Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and business case development skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial information to operational and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work effectively with cross functional teams and at all levels of leadership
  • Unequivocal business ethics and integrity
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and operate effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large capital investments, manufacturing expansions, facility construction projects, or major business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with CapEx management, cash flow forecasting, CIP accounting, and investment performance analysis.
