Senior Finance Business PartnerJob Description:
The incumbent will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, supporting the development of financial strategies, enhancing reporting capabilities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role will collaborate with finance and operational teams to help maintain robust financial controls, improve business performance, and deliver meaningful commercial insights.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance Business Partnering
- Partner with operational and senior leadership teams to provide financial guidance and commercial insight.
- Help lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
- Support business leaders in evaluating strategic initiatives, investments, and operational decisions.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and business performance.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Help oversee the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.
- Assist in maintaining consistency and accuracy across financial reporting processes.
- Provide timely analysis of financial performance, highlighting risks, opportunities, and key trends.
- Support the development and enhancement of financial reporting frameworks and dashboards.
Commercial Support
- Provide financial modelling and scenario analysis to support business decision-making.
- Assist commercial and operational teams in assessing the financial implications of contractual and business changes.
- Support pricing reviews, business cases, and commercial negotiations where required.
Leadership and Stakeholder Management
- Help lead and mentor finance team members, fostering collaboration and professional development.
- Work closely with finance managers and operational stakeholders to achieve departmental objectives.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to ensure alignment between financial and operational goals.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and sound financial management.
Governance and Controls

Professional Know-How:
Qualifications
- CA(SA) / CIMA preferred
- 6–8 years relevant finance experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or management accounting
- Minimum 2–3 years’ management or team leadership experience

- Strong background in financial management, FP&A, and management accounting
- Advanced budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis capability
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, modelling)
- Experience with ERP/financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, or similar
