Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. (BCW) is seeking a Senior Finance Business Manager that will be reporting to the Director of Finance. The Senior Finance Business Manager will support Boeing Winnipeg functional leadership and Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Fabrication finance leadership. This position is located onsite at our Winnipeg, Manitoba facility.
The Senior Manager, Business Operations, will lead a team responsible for the long-range business plan (LRBP), financial budgeting, strategic estimating and functional reporting for all commercial airplane programs. A successful candidate will have strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence strategic decision making and present compelling recommendations using finance intelligence. The candidate must also have a high level of attention to detail and strong compliance mindset with the ability to present and articulate what the results mean, including recommendations to meet operational and financial objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of the annual financial budget and annual long range business plan (LRBP) including robust opportunity and risk management.
  • Create monthly and ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders that provide analysis of actual results compared to budgets and forecasts including variance analysis to provide understanding of operational and financial performance.
  • Make recommendations to senior leadership on financial performance while maintaining discretion with sensitive information.
  • Manage employees performing estimates at completion, budget development, financial forecasting, business case development, and strategic studies.
  • Establish strong partnerships and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, peers and direct reports.
  • Support Executive briefings and special assignments/actions as required; Represent Director of Finance as delegate for meetings as necessary.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement to improve quality, cost, delivery, employee job satisfaction and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute standard work and initiatives, implement policies and procedures and support operational goals. Leads process improvements.
  • Manage, develop and motivate employees and first-level managers. Hold team accountable for deliverables. Provide on-going developmental feedback. Create an inclusive and safe environment for all employees.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ year's management experience, leading cross functional teams, involving key stakeholder relationship management
  • Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting and developing estimates
  • Experience developing presentations and presenting financial information to various levels of management
  • Post-secondary education with CPA or other accounting designation
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
  • Experience in estimating, contracts and pricing
  • Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or in a regulated industry
  • Experience with SAP Finance and Accounting
  • Experience with the Microsoft Excel application using formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets

This requisition is for a, locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
