Boeing Canada Winnipeg is looking for an Experienced Quality Systems Specialist that will report to the Quality Manager working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba branch.
The Quality Systems Specialist oversees product and process quality ensuring quality standards are consistently maintained. The position requires working in a team environment with various other support organizations aligned to a common goal of providing safe and compliant products and services on time.
This position is for Day shift.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Conducts product and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management
  • Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed
  • Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements, or government regulations
  • Analyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problems. Participates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation
  • Supports oversight of corrective action requests and reviews corrective action requests for compliance and effectiveness
  • Works under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 4+ years of experience or knowledge of Quality Management Systems
  • Experience/knowledge of production processes within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of the quality system and compliance regulations (e.g., International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100)
  • Experience with conducting quality system audits and assessments
  • Experience and knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design, GD&T)
  • Knowledge of data systems and configuration management principles and processes
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis concepts
  • Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various operations and engineering departments
  • Aerospace or Aviation experience
  • Post-secondary Education
