This position is a Sr. Finance Analyst within the Support and Administration Finance Team, providing financial business support to the Finance, HR, Risk Management, Legal, Corporate Center, and Internal Audit lines of business. This position will be responsible for helping to drive the financial performance and strategic initiatives of the Support & Admin LOBs.
Strong partnering skills and effective communication are integral competencies of this position as an individual in this role will directly interact with leadership across Finance and the S & A LOBs. This role will also require strong analytical skills, an enterprise mindset and robust knowledge of financial and profitability concepts.
Essential Job Functions
Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide Strategic guidance, advice, and financial modeling for strategic plans and investments.
- Leverage ad-hoc financial performance analysis to assist business partners in strategic decision making & understanding drivers behind expense outcomes
- Coordinating and participating in LOB and product level financial forecasting and planning
- Provide financial guidance with supporting financial evaluations of proposed initiatives and technology investments via the following activities: gathering assumptions, preparing financial projections, measuring profitability including ROE/ROA/ROBC.
- Provide guidance and act as liaison between the Support and Administrative teams and LOB Finance teams in the Technology and Operations, Corporate Bank, Institutional Bank, and Consumer Bank.
- Providing accurate and insightful financial reporting including insightful analysis of expense drivers
- Assisting the segment in daily financial management activities
- Maintain and update organizational hierarchy structure (i.e. cost centers) that best reflect the management of the business and facilitates reporting
- Provide research on miscellaneous items and complete ad hoc analysis as necessary
- Develop strong working relationships with business unit leadership, peers, and partners
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Accounting or related field)
- 3+ years of diverse analytical experience in Finance, preferably with exposure to banking
- Organized self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and creatively
- Strong financial and/or accounting acumen
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish solid working relationships with multiple teams and individuals with varying levels of expertise
- Proven team player, willing to assist others as needed to ensure that group deadlines are met and quality standards achieved
- Detail oriented with the ability to thoroughly analyze and resolve issues with limited direction
- Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.Please click here for a list of benefits for which this position is eligible.
