In This Role, You Will:
- Develop and document troubleshooting test methods with cross-functional teams to root cause failed components
- Coordinate with the BaseOps team on field service campaigns
- Design review and feedback to respective design teams
- Specify and source new equipment for failure analysis
- Work with the Reliability Team to identify and communicate trends within Zoox
- Create/update quality documentation
- Perform RCAs, drive investigations and product/process improvements
- Travel to service locations to review field failures (10-25% travel)
Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 4+ years experience in automotive, EV, or aerospace
- Ability to read technical drawings, GD&T and navigate CAD models
- Broad technical background with mechanical and electrical systems, experience with chassis, thermal or powertrain systems would be highly desired.
- Strong failure analysis abilities and poke-yoke
- Experience performing root cause analysis on electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to effectively communicate investigation findings and technical information
Bonus Qualifications
- QMS, SAP, 3DX experience
- SQL, Python
- Experience building test equipment
