About the Role
The Senior Federal Sales Executive will drive new business and sales growth across assigned federal accounts, supporting customers within the Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civilian agencies, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This role focuses on managing complex sales cycles and navigating the unique procurement, compliance, and mission requirements of federal customers.
This role requires a strategic thinker with 5+ years of experience in federal SaaS sales, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with key decision-makers across multiple federal sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep understanding of the federal sales ecosystem, including working with systems integrators and contract vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand Keeper’s presence across DoD, Federal Civilian, and DHS accounts
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, lead generation campaigns, partner engagement, and referrals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective customers, understanding mission needs and presenting tailored cybersecurity solutions
- Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified federal opportunities
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through closing, including forecasting and reporting
- Act as a subject matter expert on all Keeper products, staying informed on updates, compliance requirements, and new offerings
- Conduct high-level sales presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations to secure enterprise and government deals
- Schedule and conduct regular meetings with prospective federal clients and partners
- Participate in cold call/role play activities and collaborate with colleagues to refine outreach strategies
- Work collaboratively with legal and sales operations teams to develop proposals and execute contracts, ensuring compliance with federal procurement requirements
- Partner closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align strategies and maximize customer satisfaction
- Engage with systems integrators, resellers, and channel partners to drive joint opportunities
- Stay informed on federal market trends, budget cycles, competitive landscape, and emerging cybersecurity requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years of software sales experience
- Experience selling identity access management solutions, including PAM (privileged access management)
- Proven track record of selling into federal government agencies (DoD, Federal Civilian, DHS)
- Existing relationships with federal decision-makers (CTO, CIO, CISO) and experience building relationships across agencies and systems integrators
- Familiarity with federal procurement processes and contract vehicles (e.g., GWACs, IDIQs, SEWP, GSA) is highly preferred
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
- Experience delivering web-based demos and presentations
- Experience managing full sales cycles in complex enterprise or government environments
- Demonstrated history of exceeding sales quotas
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset
- Due to this role’s involvement in FedRAMP, all applicants must be a “US Person”
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, GovCloud, and/or classified networks is a plus
- Active US Security Clearance (Secret minimum) is a plus
