We are seeking a Senior Federal Accounting Consultant for the implementation of BAS for a Federal customer. Candidates should have familiarity and experience with the Federal financials and accounting processes and experience with system implementations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Document and communicate accounting processes of our federal customer with the project team.
- Communicate Federal Accounting Policies and their impacts to business processes and system requirements with the project team.
- Document federal financial & accounting reporting requirements.
- Create business requirements documents and functional design documents to support technical development of reporting solutions.
- Create mockups and visual aides to communicate functional designs internally and to customers.
- Develop test plans, test scenarios/cases, and manage testing execution.
- Design and execute training for packaged and custom developed financial and/or budgeting applications.
Required qualifications
- 8+ years' experience in federal financial and accounting related activities.
- Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
- Knowledge of systems integration and reporting.
- Expertise in civilian federal financial and accounting processes who also possesses strong implementation/systems integration experience across multiple ERP systems (Momentum, SAP, Oracle) coupled with knowledge of project management best practices.
- Experience with one or more ERP systems used in the federal government like SAP, Oracle or Momentum.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in business process analysis and functional design of financial budgeting & reporting solutions.
- Experience with Hyperion/Oracle Planning, OneStream, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, SAP SAC, etc., OR custom-built budgeting solution for a federal customer.
- Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain Public Trust.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with SAP BusinessObjects or any other BI tool like Tableau, PowerBI, or MicroStrategy is a plus.
