We currently have a need for a Senior Network Engineer supporting a Global Network Infrastructure Environment.   The ideal candidate will have 7 years of relevant work experience in networks.  Global Financial Services experience is preferred.

 Responsibilities:

• Build and migrate clients to new DMZ.

• Maintain LAN/WAN network, connectivity between all datacenters and financial extranets; contact vendors to establish connectivity; deploy and configure routers, switches, and security firewalls.
• Experience designing and configuring Arista and Cisco Switches and Routers, review technical requirements for deployment.
• Apply scripting and/or programming skills to automate network management, monitoring and reporting.
• Architect and design SDWan Network with Cisco Viptella solution
• Evaluate and design new Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) into network
• Experience with firewall migrations going to a Palo Alto infrastructure.
• Manage cross-functional projects.
• Monitor latency, bandwidth utilization, and the general condition of the WAN; reporting on problems to the IT, Support and Trading teams on a real-time, 24x7 basis.
• Work with application developers to tune and optimize real-time systems.
• Apply strong knowledge of key networking protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP and multicast in the design and deployment of our state-of-the-science trading network.

 Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years’ experience with enterprise-level network design and deployment
• 2+ years’ experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Experience with Cisco VSS switches, Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K, 2K configuration and design.  As well, as Arista Switches.
• Hands on experience with designing and implementing a SDWAN solution.

• Strong Knowledge and Experience with Data Center ACI and NSX technologies to provide SDN/SDDC solutions
• Firewall Experience with Cisco, Checkpoint and Palo Alto
• Load Balancer experience with F5 or AVI
• Proficient in routing protocols: TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, Multicast, IP CEF.
• Advanced performance tuning and capacity management concepts.
• Through understanding of IP concepts including routing, VLAN's, QoS, tuning and capacity management concepts.
• Ability to analyze and design network systems to achieve efficient and secure operation.
• Excellent communication for client discovery and management of technologies.

Physical Demands: 

• Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
• Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
• Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

This position is onsite in NYC, pays a salary range between $125k to $140k annually.
