The opportunity:
As the Senior External & Executive Communications Manager, you will own the development and execution of the company’s external communications strategy while supporting the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) with high-impact internal communications.
You are a trusted advisor to senior leadership and an active partner to business leaders, ensuring that corporate messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company’s strategy and priorities. You will collaborate closely with Regional leaders, marketing, branding, IR, HR, and business stakeholders.
The purpose of this role is to strengthen the company’s reputation, positioning, and visibility externally, while ensuring effective internal communication from leadership that drives alignment, engagement, and understanding across the organization. This role also contributes to shaping corporate narratives, managing media relations, supporting change communication initiatives, and developing executive messaging across key platforms and moments.
What you will do:
Accountable for developing and executing the global external communications strategy aligned with business priorities
Responsible for shaping and delivering clear, consistent corporate messaging across external channels (media, website, social media, thought leadership)
Lead proactive and reactive media relations, including press releases, media outreach, and spokesperson preparation
Support crisis communications and reputation management in close collaboration with senior leadership
Responsible for developing executive communication materials including speeches, presentations, key messages, and talking points
Partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team to support internal communications such as town halls, leadership updates, and strategic announcements
Ensure alignment and consistency between internal and external messaging across all communication activities
Drive storytelling initiatives that strengthen brand positioning and communicate company strategy, innovation, and impact
Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to amplify key campaigns and corporate narratives
Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders on communication risks, opportunities, and positioning
Support change management communications to ensure clarity and engagement during transformation initiatives
Monitor and analyze media coverage and communication performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations
Manage external agencies and partners where required to support communication initiatives
Ensure adherence to brand, tone of voice, and corporate communication standards
What you need to succeed:
BS/BA Degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field
5+ years of experience in external communications, corporate communications, or public relations, ideally in a global B2B organization
Strong experience in executive communications and working closely with senior leadership teams
Proven expertise in media relations, corporate messaging, and reputation management
Experience in developing communication strategies and executing across multiple channels
Comfortable working with complex, technical topics and translating them into clear, compelling messages
Experience working in international, matrix organizations with cross-functional collaboration
Strong understanding of digital communication platforms and content strategies
Excellent command of English – must be fluent in writing as well as spoken
Salary range: 700,000 - 930,000 DKK
