MAS Matrix, is a diversified flat-knit apparel manufacturing facility under MAS Holdings. Matrix houses 1000 Stoll flatbed machines offerings athleisure wear, performance wear, essentials and knit components for global brands such as Nike, Decathlon, Gymshark, Lacoste, Victoria's Secret and Stoko. Changing business dynamics prompted Matrix to explore innovative product solutions that go beyond the traditional realm of sweaters, launching its latest product platform, MVTM, a collection of highly functional, versatile, and fashion-forward designs.

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to Identify, Evaluate and Incorporate all the technical requirements in terms of fit, Performance and aesthetic of sample into knit programme using most efficient and cost-effective knit techniques adhering to set standards while timely technical decision are made through effective coordination & collaboration with both internal & external parties specially guiding and managing own technical team. Ensure bulk manufacturability of developed samples while ensuring smooth and accurate factory integration (FI).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the development of new product and style samples, ensuring they meet customer specifications.
  • Liaise with customers, merchandisers, and technical teams on measurement, design, fabric, and knitting feasibility.
  • Prepare knitting programs using relevant software and support SMV calculations for FOB costing.
  • Analyze pre-production samples, identify technical and production risks, and recommend preventive actions.
  • Ensure timely completion of do ability samples and evaluate proto samples before customer submission.
  • Develop and modify knitting programs for concept, proto, and size-set samples based on customer feedback and fabric behavior.
  • Attend fabric inspection (FI) discussions and support technical adjustments to ensure smooth production.
  • Resolve day-to-day technical issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support and drive projects related to new product development (NPD), cost reduction, and lead time improvement.
  • Conduct FI handover meetings and ensure accurate transfer of technical information, knitting programs, and technical packs to production teams.
  • Ensure all technical documentation for new styles is handed over to the relevant plant representatives.
  • Drive First Time Through (FTT) and Just-In-Time (JIT) performance by ensuring quality compliance and preventing recurring defects.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Degree in Textile  or any relevant discipline.
  • 5 year of relevant work experience in a similar capacity.
  • 2–5 years of experience in flat knitting programming
  • Strong understanding of knit structures, stitch formations, and yarn behavior.
  • Proven experience managing knit programs from concept to production
  • Hands-on experience with Shima Seiki SDS-ONE APEX / WHOLEGARMENT, Stoll M1 Plus / Knit & Wear, and HQDCS programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical packs, specifications, and design briefs.
  • Capability to develop, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot knit programs independently.
  • Good knowledge of knitting machine operations, settings, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of garment construction, linking, sewing, and finishing processes.
  • Knowledge of gauge selection, yarn consumption, and knitting parameters.
  • Ability to identify and resolve fabric, programming, and machine-related issues.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies

Skills Required
