Senior Executive - Pattern Technologist
(Based at Silueta, Biyagama)

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the Silueta team as an Executive – Human Resources. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to create patterns based on the designer sketch/a garment/measurement sheet, ensure that the sample garments sewn are technically perfect in measurements and fit and provide accurate and complete information for creation of the technical package.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
On receipt of ‘designer sketch’/copy garment, create patterns for costing, internal fit, mock-ups, understanding of fabric for base size, as appropriate.
Verify accuracy of patterns against sample, understand details of technical issues/inputs and mark seam allowance required on patterns.Follow accompanying instructions and pass on information for cut and sew of sample by using the required information and by adherence to procedures.
RAttend the style introduction meeting and provide required input with regards to the pattern and construction of garment with sewing tech and machinist.Handover the completed doc to garment tech. Once all relevant spec, pattern, garment measurement is verified and found to be in order and follow through until style is confirmed till production.
Pattern grading / Alteration for all styles. Graded size set will be sent to customer for approval.
Attend the fit meeting to discuss pattern amendments based on customer comments and carry out amendments to patterns if necessary whilst ensuring that any discrepancies to the measurement specifications are addressed accordingly.
Co-ordinate with the tech pack team and provide information for preparation of the technical package.
Attend daily sample submission by issuing markers/ Provide technical inputs/ Mock-up evaluation.
Garment costing- Fabric consumptions is passed to marketing team to do the garment costing.
Direct communication with the customers on pattern amendments and pattern technical related issues.
Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Degree in Textile or Apparel Production
3-4 years’ Experience in relevant field with similar types of garments/components
Ability to work with a team and take leadership
