Key responsibilities include:
- Underwriting and pricing new and renewal H&M and Cargo business within delegated authority limits.
- Managing complex and high-value marine risks, including project cargoes, bulk cargo, pleasure craft, and bluewater vessels.
- Handling the full facultative reinsurance process (both inward and outward) in line with the company's risk appetite.
- Driving business growth by building strong relationships with brokers, intermediaries, and key clients to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Overseeing policy administration, including policy issuance, endorsements, certificates, and coordination with internal teams and clients.
- Supporting digital transformation initiatives, including marine portal development, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training intermediaries on new systems.
- Maintaining accurate underwriting records, renewal schedules, and compliance databases.
- Providing technical expertise, guidance, and training to distribution teams, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitoring outstanding premiums and collaborating with the actuarial team on reinsurance treaty renewals.
