About the Function:
Supply Chain & Manufacturing is where our brands are made, moved and delivered to the world. With over half of our people working across more than 100 sites, this is a complex, large-scale operation that brings together production, logistics, engineering and supplier partnerships.

About the role:
Qualifications
• Graduate degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business, Supply Chain, Operations or a related discipline.
• MBA/PGDM or a recognized certification in Supply Chain/Procurement is desirable.
Experience
• 3-6 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation sourcing, logistics procurement or supply chain, with direct exposure to road freight operations/markets.
• Mandatory: hands-on knowledge of freight markets, lane-based rate discovery, LSP commercial evaluation/negotiation and identification of new LSPs.
• Hands-on, end-to-end experience in SAP and Ariba Auctions, including bidder onboarding, event configuration, mock/live auction management and result analysis.
• Working knowledge of SAP, including extraction/validation of procurement or logistics data and exposure to vendor, contract/rate or master-data processes.
• Exposure to TMS implementation/support, data migration, UAT or system transition is preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong PowerPoint capability; exposure to Power BI or other analytics tools is desirable.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or another large, distributed logistics network is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, written/verbal communication, stakeholder coordination and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Accountabilities
• Consolidate and analyse logistics spend, lane, rate, volume/trips, vehicle type, LSP share, service and savings data from SAP, TMS, SAP Ariba and Excel.
• Build and maintain dashboards/MIS; identify cost drivers, outliers, concentration risks, data gaps and sourcing opportunities.
• Prepare clear, decision-ready PowerPoint presentations, executive summaries and review packs for procurement and logistics leadership.
• Maintain a single source of truth with defined logic, version control and documented validation with units and Finance.
• Conduct end-to-end sourcing events and Reverse Auctions on SAP Ariba: scope/lane finalization, bid template preparation, bidder onboarding, event configuration, mock auction, live execution, monitoring, clarifications and closure.
• Normalize and analyse bids; prepare L1, savings, scenario and allocation views; support negotiations and award recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to sourcing policy, approvals, bidder communications, confidentiality and a complete audit trail.
• Conduct market surveys and lane-level freight benchmarking by geography, distance, truck type, seasonality, toll/fuel impact and demand-supply conditions.
• Identify new LSPs and assess network, fleet/capacity, lane coverage, service capability, financial/compliance readiness and reference performance.
• Maintain market-rate and LSP databases; support RFIs/RFQs, supplier qualification, negotiations and onboarding.
• Support transition to a new TMS and other procurement/logistics technologies through requirement capture, data mapping and cleansing, UAT, cutover, training, issue tracking and hypercare.
• Validate rates, lanes, LSPs, route/distance, charge and other relevant masters; reconcile system output with SAP and legacy data.
• Document SOPs and controls, support user adoption and identify opportunities for automation, dashboards and improved data visibility.
• Use SAP to extract and validate spend/transaction data and support vendor, contract/rate and master-data related procurement activities.
• Coordinate timely and accurate updation of approved tariffs/rates, lanes, LOIs, fuel indexation, spot rates and associated records, wherever applicable.
• Maintain sourcing calendars, approvals, event files and commercial documentation; track and resolve data or freight-rate mismatches with relevant stakeholders.
Financial Accountability
(Budget/Revenue)
The role has no direct budget ownership but materially influences logistics spend through freight analytics, rate benchmarking, competitive sourcing and commercial validation. It is responsible for accurate savings and cost-avoidance calculations, post-event comparisons, and timely identification of rate mismatches or leakage.
All analyses and recommendations must be supported by validated volumes/trips, lanes, truck types, LSPs, distance and fuel assumptions, approved rate records and audit-ready documentation. The role will work with Logistics Operations, Finance and units to reconcile commercial impacts before reporting.
Success Criteria
• Accurate, timely and consistently validated logistics procurement data, dashboards and management reporting.
• Sourcing and Reverse Auction events completed to plan with adequate competition, clear governance and transparent post-event analysis.
• Measurable savings/cost avoidance and actionable market benchmarks supported by robust assumptions and documentation.
• A stronger pipeline of qualified LSPs and improved competitive coverage across priority markets and lanes.
• Successful support to TMS/technology rollout, including clean migrated data, timely issue closure and user adoption.
• Audit-ready sourcing records, strong stakeholder service and no material control or confidentiality breaches.
