About the Role
Senior Executive, Legal Claims (Motor)
The role sits within the Third‑Party Property Damage and Bodily Injury claims team, responsible for managing assigned property damage claims with independence and accountability, and carries elevated expectations in terms of judgement, prioritisation, stakeholder engagement, and ownership of outcomes. The incumbent is expected to handle a broad range of cases with confidence and independence, while maintaining consistent delivery standards and supporting overall team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of Third‑Party property damage claims of varying complexity within agreed authority limits.
- Applying sound judgement in case handling and progressing matters steadily with appropriate guidance.
- Prioritising workload effectively to meet timelines and performance expectations.
- Communicating clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including legal partners and counterparties.
- Applying strong technical and income competencies to deliver accurate, fair, and timely claim outcomes.
- Identifying issues or risks in cases and escalating appropriately, in line with governance requirements.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Contributing constructively to team discussions and sharing feedback or improvement ideas where appropriate.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in motor Third-Party claims handling, preferably with exposure to litigation matters.
- Ability to manage workload independently within defined parameters.
- Strong understanding of claims processes, reserving, settlement considerations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Consistent ability to meet KPIs while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new or unfamiliar case types, complexities, and applying sound judgement under pressure.
- Certifications in BCP, CGI, and PGI will be an advantage.
