Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the implementation of HSSE programmes, frameworks, policies and minimum mandatory requirements across the organisation.
- Monitor contractor HSSE compliance and performance, identify gaps and drive appropriate corrective and improvement actions.
- Develop and implement Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) and safety culture initiatives to strengthen employee and contractor engagement and accountability.
- Develop and coordinate HSSEQ training, competency assessments and learning programmes to address capability and competency gaps.
- Lead employee health and well-being programmes, including mental health, psychosocial risk management, physical wellness and health promotion initiatives.
- Develop and coordinate health promotion and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) prevention programmes, including health screening, vaccination and healthy lifestyle initiatives.
- Support the implementation of the Occupational Health Management System (OHMS), occupational health and hygiene programmes, health risk assessments and preventive measures.
- Coordinate medical emergency preparedness, including first aid readiness, facilities, equipment and emergency response arrangements.
- Analyse HSSE performance data, audits, inspections and trends to provide management insights and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and digitalisation.
- Provide HSSE subject matter expertise and support HSSEQ governance, regulatory compliance and other HSSE-related programmes, projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in HSSE, occupational health & safety, programme management or a related area.
- Good knowledge of HSE management systems, OSH legislation, occupational health and industrial hygiene.
- Experience or knowledge in HSSE programmes, contractor management, safety culture and Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS).
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Professional certifications such as SHO, NEBOSH, IOSH or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor are an advantage. Knowledge or qualifications in psychology, mental health or employee well-being will be an added advantage.
